When I first decided to sell my timeshare, I had SO MANY QUESTIONS!  It was extremely confusing and I didn't know where to start.  But I figured it out, I answered all of these questions myself, and I discovered the simplest way to sell my week.  And the best part is that I sold without getting scammed or paying up-front/listing fees.

I'm going to tell you about the resource that helped me sell in a minute, but first I want to answer the questions that most people have about selling:

1. You're selling your timeshare but have unpaid loans...

Most times, buyers will not take a timeshare with unpaid loans. This means you have to take care of those loans first before you can sell the property. You can either pay it in full, which can be painful but necessary. Or you can take responsibility of the loan - even if you no longer have ownership of the property.

This can get tricky so make sure you consult experts or the closing company to make things easier and to make the sale smoother. (I recommend www.howtoselltimeshare.org because they offer a service that can help you save money)

2. I’m selling my timeshare week but I don’t want to sell it for a lower price.

One fact you have to deal with is that reselling a timeshare property usually involves lower prices compared to the original price you paid. You just have to deal with this fact and find the best price that is acceptable for you by doing some research. Take a look at other properties for sale that are similar to yours or you can take a look at properties for sale that are near you. If you choose a price higher than the norm, you will find it hard to get a buyer. Having a lower price than any of those similar properties can attract more buyers but be careful not to sell too low. Find the right balance in pricing so the selling process can be beneficial to both you and the buyer.

3. I’m selling my timeshare week and I’m getting a lot of calls from agencies offering their services.

This is good if you want an experienced company to handle all the necessary steps in selling timeshares but you need to be alert. Some of these agencies say they already have buyers ready to take your property and all you need is to pay a processing fee or some other type of upfront fee. This is usually a sign that they are not quite reputable so it is best if you don’t entertain their offers. Make sure to do your research on the company you want to work with. And make sure they legitimate businesses and they have positive customer feedback.

This resource has helped other timeshare owners before you...

If you need more tips on how to do this safely, quick, and as pain-free as possible - you can check out online expert sites such as www.timesharesecrets.com. That site is my favorite place to get help with selling. It is run by Dan and Donna Connelly who are very helpful people. And they do provide a very useful resource for timeshare owners looking to sell.

  1. Thank you for the resources. I’m going to contact the first one and then maybe I will go with the second site if I don’t get what I need.
